ONE REASON THE RACE IS CLOSER THAN THE DEMOCRATS EXPECTED: THEY NEVER EXPECTED MCCAIN TO WIN THE GOP NOMINATION

The Dems really thought Iraq was lost and that McCain would NOT get the nomination, and that they'd be running against Romney.

That's why they told the truth and said all those nice things about McCain: they thought they could get him to switch parties.

But they were wrong about Iraq and McCain, and that's why we have a close race even though the economy is shaky.

McCain was right about Iraq - and prescient about Fannie Mae: he proposed tightening controls in it in 2005, but his Fannie Mae proposal was blocked by the Democrats.

The Democrats tried to block the Surge, but failed.

And the Democrats are blocking oil exploration here in the USA.

It's time the Democrats just got out of the way.
