RELIAPUNDIT ADDS: PALEO LITHICS: “My Muslim Faith” Obama
In a possible slip of the tongue sure to throw fuel on the fire that Barack Obama has never abandoned the faith that he was born into, in response to a question on his faith by George Stephanopoulos on ABC this morning, Obama actually said, “questions about my Muslim faith…”.******************UPDATE #2: NEW VIDEO - VIA PALEO LITHIC:
George quickly corrected him by saying, “you mean my Christian faith…”
Obama….”uh, yes, my Christian faith…”.
Glad he’s keeping that straight.
BOTTOM-LINE: BARACK HUSSEIN "BARRY SOETORO" OBAMA JUNIOR IS NOT READY FOR PRIME TIME.
*******UPDATE: COMPLETE AND IN CONTEXT - YOU DECIDE - IS IT A FREUDIAN SLIPS?????
UPDATE - PASTORIUS ADDS (and, by the way, what is written below this is total crap. I messed up. Sorry. I will leave it up for the record. Let the records state that sometimes I can be an idiot.)
If you think about it, the wider context given by the additional clip makes the case - for this being a Freudian slip - even stronger.
After all, if Obama were talking about his Christian faith, why would McCain have made an issue of it?
McCain is a Christian himself, and it certainly wouldn't help Obama to be calling another man out on his Christianity.
So, when Stephanopolous stepped in and suggested an a way out of the rhetorical mess Obama had created for himself, Obama shifted the subject to something that didn't make any sense in the context of the discussion.
That is proof that he was grasping at straws trying to make up for a bad mistake.
The predisposition of the American electorate (those who actually tend to vote) is OVERWHELMINGLY Christian.
And, even those who aren't Christian, still support the right of Christians to be Christian, and would not tend to criticize a person for being Christian.
Obama's statement here implies one of two things;
1) McCain would call Obama out on his Christian faith, which makes no sense, because McCain is a Christian too.
or
2) Obama is a Muslim.
Is there another choice that I'm missing?
I don't think so.
Obama killed himself today, and he knows it.
Hallelujah! Obama is dead.
Sorry for the language, but George Stephanopolous is a dumb cocksucker.
ReplyDeleteFuckin' idiot.
God damn it, he had the journalistic opportunity of a lifetime there, and he decided to throw it away because of a ridiculous allegiance to the Democratic Party.
Fuck Stephanopolous.
yes: he was being nice to obama.
ReplyDeletesure: it was a slip.
but what does that tell us?
either it was a freudian slip and he is a muslim at heart, or (because he's prone to GAFFES) he is not ready for prime time.
He's a Moslem at heart. Stephanopolous had to correct him!
ReplyDeleteWould I say "my...faith" with any other adjective than the faith which I hold? Would anyone?
Sounds to me like a gaffe.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like Obama will now be running behind in the polls for the first time in the campaign. With the generic dems running ahead of the generic republicans, Obama is obviously underperforming. How will his campaign respond to being behind?
Felix,
ReplyDeleteSo far they have panicked.
I expect they will play the race card again.
The only attacks they have made, have been that John S McCain is a third term for George W Bush.
That claim is going to look weaker and weaker over the next few weeks.
As Willie Brown said in the column I linked to elsewhere, the Dems don't play defense very well.
when your true politics are extreme and left, you cannot run straight ahead or even talk straight.
ReplyDeleteso obama will not be able to connect with a majority of americans.
all the dems had to do was nominate a generic dems and they would have waltzed into the WH.
but they nominated the leftiest and most inexperienced fella of all time.
Read my updated comments.
ReplyDeleteI don't think this was anything but a Freudian slip.
There's another possibility. Obama simply has no faith and has to remember what to say as he's talking. Given his chameleon-like character on every other issue and every other aspect of his life it wouldn't be surprising if he is simply whatever it is he thinks he should be at any one moment.
ReplyDeleteWhy else would he need to go uhhh, errr, aaaa, at even the simplest questions.
Maybe Barak is an orthodox secular humanist.
ReplyDeleteThe answer here is I FUCKED UP.
ReplyDeleteSorry about that. In between all the other things I was doing today, I watched the video and quickly posted it without giving it sufficient thought.
Obama is clearly talking about others spreading rumors of "my Muslim faith."
He messed up and so did I.
Sorry.
Pastorius,
ReplyDeleteI am not too sure about that.
He was quite comfortable mentioning "my Muslim faith."
Do you think that would come so easily to you?
According to Shariah Law, the guy is a Muslim.
But he is also very weird. I think his head is very twisted, and he is very confused about who he really is.
Punditarian,
ReplyDeleteI was wrong about the context in which he said what he said.
However, as you point out, that does not mean there is something very odd about what he said.
And yes, he is a Muslim apostate according to Muslim law, and humanitarian that he is, he refuses to speak out on that very important issue, though he is the living embodiment of it.
Great last point there, Pastorius.
ReplyDeleteAlso, has anyone other than Obama made this kind of gaffe regarding their faith? I don't know of one who has.
Anyone who believes he is Muslim is a complete idiot without capacity to think for themselves. Even the GOP and FOX have moved on from the scare tactic to the Rev. Wright connection; thereby calling him a devout Christian member of that church. So which is it?
ReplyDeleteIt is like when they call him the most liberal Democrat. It was Gore, then Kerry, then Clinton, now Obama, and whoever shows up in 2012 and 2016..
