I watched a goodly part of the match. Spain not only had a much better offense but a superb defense. Their positioning was superior. They set defensive traps that faked the Germans right into their briar patch. The Germans made a lot of long passes where the Spanish team just kind of magically appeared to break up the play. I guess when you haven't won anything in 48 years you try something else. Like thinking.
ReplyDeleteI played hockey for about 45 years. After a while, and a number of loose teeth, you learn not to jump on that weak looking pass that seems too good to be true.
As you pointed out, that's why we are winning. I joined the Army when I was 17. I was too young to realize that it was the best organization that I would ever see.
Actually, McCain doesn't have to do much of anything to win except say drill! drill! drill! at every opportunity.
