BARACK THE VICTIM VERSUS BILL COSBY THE VICTOR

In his speech today, Barack was EXCUSING Wright's racism because he argued Wright was a victim.

Besides that fact that this is NO EXCUSE FOR RACISM - two wrongs don't make a right - it's a way of thinking which has FAILED BLACK PEOPLE FOR DECADES.

That's not what I think, it's what Bill Cosby knows and has written about:
Come On, People: On the Path from Victims to Victors
by Bill Cosby and Alvin Poussaint, M.D.

The most critical and outspoken views on problems within the African American community often come from African Americans themselves. Kansas City Star sports writer Jason Whitlock, for example, deplores the “prison culture” many young black men are self-destructively infatuated with. Author Stanley Crouch calls the bling-and-booty trappings of the rap scene “the new minstrelsy.”

Celebrity Bill Cosby and psychiatrist Alvin Poussaint are also disturbed by the negativity they find being generated in the black community. But their new book Come On, People (Thomas Nelson Publishers) springs from an abiding belief that things can get better if African Americans make a conscious effort to confront their situation and embrace the values and abilities that have enabled them to make substantial contributions to American culture.

Cosby and Toussaint have come under fire for their views. “As you probably know,” say the authors, “certain people tell us that we are picking on the poor. Many of those who accuse us are scholars and intellectuals, upset that we are not blaming everything on white people as they do. Well, blaming only the system keeps certain black people in the limelight, but it also keeps the black poor wallowing in victimhood.”
MORE COSBY:
Actor and author Bill Cosby challenged members of Greater Cleveland's black community Wednesday to take responsibility for themselves and their children.

"Your dirty laundry is out there. I'm telling you it's time to wash," Cosby told a crowd of several hundred who packed Mount Zion Oakwood Village.

Earlier, he spoke at Cuyahoga Community College in Cleveland. His tough-love message, mixed with humor, was embraced by the civic, political, educational and religious leaders and laypeople at Mount Zion.

Before his talk, civic leaders pledged to "work toward health care, nutrition, child care, education, housing and other basic needs together that provide a decent standard of living."

The Rev. Marvin McMickle, chairman of United Pastors in Mission, one of the sponsors of the event, reminded the gathering, "We are not here just to see a celebrity. We are here because the celebrity is challenging us to look at ourselves."
  • WRIGHT NEVER MADE THAT CHALLENGE;
  • HE BLAMES WHITES.
  • HE TELLS HIS BLACK PARISHIONERS - IN HIS BLACK CHURCH, WHICH SPEWS BLACK-LIBERATION "THEOLOGY" - THAT IT'S WHITEY'S FAULT.
Barack is ALL ABOUT VICTIMHOOD. It's at his very core; it's what attracted him to Wright. It's the Leftist way.

And Bill Cosby knows it's the road to continued serfdom.

Bill Cosby is a better man and a wiser man and a better communicator than Barack. And Cosby's way it the right way.

Barack Obama must be rejected for excusing and condoning racism in his life the last 2o years, and for advocating we continue to treat blacks as victims.

COSBY: CENTRIST; HUMANIST; TRUTH-TELLER.

OBAMA: LEFTIST; RACIST; LIAR.

VOTE ACCORDINGLY.

    The Astute Bloggers!

Bill Cosby's Celebrity is overwhelmed by the intense goodwill he feels for his people.

    He generates a lot of
    hatred for the effort. reb

  2. I recommend John McWhorter's book Losing the Race: Self-Sabotage in Black America.

McWhorter is not very popular in the black community and has lots of praise for Bill Cosby.
