Admiral Fallon Steps Down

Admiral Fallon, leader of Centcom, has "resigned". The Admiral had, very publicly, been declaring that "an attack on Iran will not happen on my watch."

Someone get Mahmoud a change of underwear, please.

  2. That's great. Wish I would have thought of it.

Have you seen the followup articles where the Admiral is saying he had no disagreements with Gates.

    What a pile.

He doesn't bother denying the quotations in Esquire, however.

    God, he's a tool, apparently.

WTF is wrong with our military brass?

  3. he hated petraeus, and petraeus is #1.

any military guy who doesn't buy into petraeus is gonzo.

    petraeus will replace him.

  4. According to John Bolton, whom I heard speak last night at a gathering here in Northern Virginia, GWB isn't going to do anything about Iran. He's more focused on Iraq and Afghanistan, plus being a lame duck.
