As glad as I am that Gillian Gibbons, the British teacher who was threatened with horrific violence for letting students she was teaching in Sudan name a teddy bear Muhammed, was released safely without being flogged, I am astounded at how
she blames herself for the ordeal (via
Hot Air Headlines):
Despite her ordeal, Ms Gibbons harbours no hostility or regrets, describing her time in the Sudan as "wonderful" and blaming herself for the "misunderstanding".
Just look at what kind of damage the British education system has done to this poor woman's psyche.
