Rudy had prostate cancer; it's one reason he didn't run against Hillary in her first Senate race.
Fred has a Hodgkin's-type of cancer.
Even McCain had cancer a few times - and he has had some very serious surgery, too.
Only Mitt has a clean bill-of-health.
I think the vigor of the candidate is important, because the job is very demanding.

It is amazing how he has aged. As did Blair. They started off fresh looking and turned haggard.
