AP: "YUGOSLAV NATIONALS" BUSTED BEFORE TERROR ATTACK IN USA

Six men were planning to attack the Fort Dix Army base and "kill as many soldiers as possible," federal authorities said Tuesday.

The men, Yugoslav nationals, were arrested early Tuesday, said Michael Drewniak, a spokesman for the United States Attorney's Office in New Jersey.

WCBS NEWSRADIO 88/AP:

The arrests were first reported by WNBC-TV in New York. The station, citing an anonymous law enforcement official, said the group discussed attacking other military installations, including Dover Air Force Base in Delaware and Fort Monmouth in New Jersey before settling on Fort Dix. ... Fort Dix is used to train soldiers, particularly reservists. It also housed refugees from Kosovo in 1999.

The would-be attackers, ethnic Albanians who had been under surveillance by the FBI for months, practiced by shooting paintball guns and real weapons in a rural area of the Poconos, one source said. They also allegedly watched jihadist videos in which Osama bin Laden urged them toward martyrdom.

UPDATE #2:

"Four are ethnic Albanians, one was born in Turkey, and a sixth was born in Jordan, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.

Officials identified the men as Dritan Duka, Eljvir Duka, Shain Duka, Serdar Tatar and Mohamad Shnewer and Agron Abdullahu."

FACT: only one thing unites these men: ISLAM.
