WHY THE HOUSE DEMOCRATS ARE SCUM

NYTIMES
Only hours after Gen. David H. Petraeus, the commander in Iraq, told lawmakers that he needed more time to gauge the effectiveness of a troop buildup there, the House voted 218 to 208 pass a measure that sought the removal of most combat forces by next spring.
THIS VOTE PROVES THAT THE DEM DOVES ARE A BUNCH OF FRIGGIN' BDS-AFFLICTED DEFEATISTS.

PELOSI DIDN'T EVEN HAVE THE COURTESY TO MEET WITH PETRAEUS. SHE IS TOTAL SCUM.

AND LOOK AT THE PROPAGANDA-STYLE PHOTO OF PETRAEUS THE LEFT-WING NYTIMES RAN: SHEESH; THEY TILTED IT SO THAT PETRAEUS LOOKS LIKE HE'S GOING DOWN.

THIS IS A DAY EVERY BIT AS DISGUSTING AND MORALLY WRONG AS THE DAY THE SCOTUS DECIDED DRED SCOTT.

TYPICALLY, THE DEMOCRATS HAVE NO SHAME. THEY WANT TO WALKING AWAY FROM IRAQ THE WAY THEY WALKED AWAY FROM SOUTH VIETNAM - AND THE WAY TEDDY WALKED AWAY FROM MARY JO.

(HERE'S A LINK TO SOME PHOTOGRAPHIC PROOF OF WHAT ABANDONING YOUR ALLIES AND EMERGING DEMOCRACIES LOOKS LIKE. VIA PJM.)

  2. Um, not so "astute." Pelosi met w/ Petreaus privately the day before. But, since you're ranting about this non-story, you might also want to ask where that "scum," Senator McCain, was during the photo-op w/ Patreaus... Oh, yeah, right.. he was in New Hampshire campaigning. Jesus Christ, get your facts straight before you spout off like that.

  3. I think you should work on the astuteness thing, or pick a new name for the blog. As has already been pointed out, Pelosi did in fact meet with Patreus. That's one factual error.

But your main error is in your analysis. Try and understand this from the point of view of 70% of your countrymen and the representatives we elected to government to do our bidding. We see this war as never-ending, and it has been described that way by the administration. We acknowledge that our troops do not belong in the middle of another country's civil war. We understand the NIEs that say that the Iraq war makes the US less secure, not more. We accept the advice of the vast majority of military, middle east and policy experts who say that there will be no military solution in Iraq.

In the face of this, BushCo wheels out their dog-and-pony show that they've showed us so many times already: military commander (fill-in-the-blank) testifies before congress that success in Iraq is just an undefinable but reasonably short time away, so please don't pull the plug now.

This fiasco has been going on for 4 years, and has only gotten worse. In response, we elected the Dems to put a stop to it. That's why they're there. They're not the rubber-stamp GOP congress. They're actually there to earn their salaries.

If you can incorporate a bit of this understanding into your content on this blog, then its title will not read with such delicious irony.

  5. I think a more accurate headline would read: "Why the people that voted for the spending bill are scum". 2 Rep voted for it and 13 Dems voted against it.
More accuracy, less ranting would help your arguments greatly.

  6. I think a more accurate headline would read: "Why the people that voted for the spending bill are scum".

Perhaps. And the answer would be "doing the will of the American people who put them in power." What scum!

  7. Ahh, yes, the standard Republican posture of perpetual outrage and indignation. It's just so sad; after all, we certainly wouldn't want all that fury and rage to cause your head to spontaneously combust, now would we?

The way Teddy walked away from Mary Jo.
Oooooh, that one really stings! What, no notorious scandals from the Al Smith campaign? How about some fresh dirt on Samuel Tildon?

This is a day every bit as disgusting and morally wrong as . . . the day of the Dred Scott decision.
Oh, but of course it is! But why such restraint? I'd say it's exactly the same as if Congress had expressed its explicit approval for mobs of drunken rednecks hanging black people from trees. In fact, the RNC could make a commercial with the two great contemporary Republican heroes, George W. and Clarence Thomas. Just imagine the impact of those two great Republicans together, generating the intellectual wattage of a scallion, and telling the American public, "It's a lynching; a high-tech lynching!"

Hey, why not get honest and acknowledge how you really feel: "The vast majority of the American people are scum! Cowardly, defeatist, appeasing scum!" Believe me, we all know that's how the hard-core followers of Republicanism feel. We know they despise the democratic process, and long for the decisiveness of a smooth, tanned, muscular leader with bulging thighs and powerful jawline. We don't give a crap, of course. But we know.

Anyway, thanks so much for this post. It's exactly the kind of thing that gives me the giggles and serves as a diversion from the tedium of intelligent political discourse.

  8. dear legal schmelgal:

1 - teddy jo is not ancient history; he is a LEADER of the anti-war dems; he got kerry the nomination last time out.

so your al smith comparison is IDIOTIC.

2 - the dred scott decision was within the power of the scoutsd but wrong. so is the timetable.

therefore the comparison i made is apt.

    your analogies are IDIOTIC.

    3 - you wrote:

this is fucking asinine of you.

the dems did NOT win control of wither body by running on a timetable. IN FUCKING FACT: reid specifically said before the election that THEY WOULD NEVER DO THAT.

he repeated this as recently as JANU-FUCKIING-ARY.

therefore it is either stupid or disingenuous of you to claim that this is what the USA public wants.

u r an idiot. typical leftist.

btw: i was raided by leftists - cardcarrying commies, and am still; a registered dem - have been since 1974. io was anti-vietnam war AT THE TIME, but now see I WAS WRONG.

so dpnp;t call me nop GOP'er.

    i am a logical patriot.

i know that wars are not ended - they are EITHER won or lost.

the timetable does NOT end the war; it loses the war.

and what message does a timetable send the insurgents?!?!?!?!

it tells them they don;lt HAVE to wage POLITICAL compormise; they can just wait it out.

it makes a POLITICAL se3ttlement between the iraqi factions LESS LIKELY.

is that too hard for you leftist IDIOTS to understand!?!?

    evidently.

  9. PAUL: the people did not vote for a timetable. the dems did NOT run on it. rei8d disavowed it in 06 and as recently as january of this year.

    so you are EFFING WRONG.

    leftist surrender-idiot.

We voted to end the war, which the vast majority of Americans view as a failure and a mistake. As for timetables:

Also, as an aside, including the word "fuck" as often as possible and calling your opponents "idiots" in no way makes up for your flimsy arguments, and actually highlights them. Just sayin'. I don't expect you have any power to stop that.

  11. Sorry, here's the quote from the Fox News poll about timelines. Get ready, because you're about to have to state that Fox News is part of the liberal media:

By 54 percent to 42 percent Americans say they approve of Congress setting a deadline for withdrawing U.S. troops from Iraq.
Read the whole thing, if you can stand it.

  12. i don't buy the poll; it was worded to get the result they - the traitorus msm - wanted.

a timetable was not on the ballot in 2006.

reid said he wanted a BIPARTISAN resolution to iraq as recently as last month.

    he is a liar.

    you defend liars.

the senate majority came with webb and tester - due to conrad/abramoff and allen's macaca gaffe. (pelosi won the house cuz of that pedophile.)

for you to construe that as a justification for DESERTING iraq is idiotic or disingenuous or you are wildly uninformed.

    prob all 3!

now fuckoff you defeatist leftie shit4brains!

    i mean that.

  13. i don't buy the poll; it was worded to get the result they - the traitorus msm - wanted.

Could you be any more predictable? Really, you 30%ers are so consistent. If you see something that doesn't mesh with your worldview (which, let's face it, is happening all the time now), you have to believe that it's a sign of the Great Liberal Conspiracy. Now you're even at the point that you've declared Fox News part of this conspiracy. Hilarious!!!

reid said he wanted a BIPARTISAN resolution to iraq as recently as last month.

Yes. And in that time he realized something you and I both know: republicans don't do bipartisan. Therefore, he realized that doing the bidding of his constituents took priority over playing nice-nice with the disgruntled 30%ers, which was certainly the right thing to do. (At least in terms of upholding democracy, but we know how you 30%ers feel about democracy.)

for you to construe that as a justification for DESERTING iraq is idiotic or disingenuous or you are wildly uninformed.

How exactly am I misinformed? Every poll being done, by every political stripe, returns the same result: that a commanding majority of Americans realize the war was a mistake and a disaster, and want our troops out. Granted, you don't believe things that don't tell you what you want to hear, I understand that. That includes every single opinion poll (even those done by Fox News and Rassmussen), almost all news pieces, and every editorial written by someone other than Ann Coulter.

You do understand your thoroughly impaired connection with reality is the definition of psychosis?

now fuckoff you defeatist leftie shit4brains!

    i mean that.

After reading that line, I'm not sure if you're a real republican (emotional and intellectual midgets, all) or a kid in elementary school. If you're the latter, then it doesn't seem right to continue thrashing you for your stupid views, since you're just a kid. Please let me know.

  14. Hi Paul!
Welcome to the LiarPundit's world- it's a humorous place to visit, but can you imagine actually living here? Somewhat Cho-like, in my estimation...
