GUN CONTROL LOBBY SEEKS TO EXPLOIT VT MASSACRE

WASH TIMES BLOG / (VIA JAWA):
For some, the criminal evil this morning at Virginia Tech was the death of a family member, a friend, or a neighbor. For others, it was a shocking reminder of the brutal cruelty that can lurk hidden in the hearts of men.

For Brian Ross of ABC News, however, the Blacksburg massacre was an opportunity to promote irrelevant propaganda about the expiration of the so-called “assault weapons” ban:
High capacity ammo clips became widely available for sale when Congress failed to renew a law that banned assault weapons.
THIS IS A BALD-FACED, DISGUSTING AND MISLEADING EFFORT TO USE THE MASSACRE TO ADVANCE WHAT IS ESSENTIALLY AN ANTI-CIVIL RIGHTS AGENDA: TO DISARM CITIZENS, AND TAKE AWAY THEIR RIGHT TO SELF-DEFENSE.

THE ANTI-GUN CROWD THINKS YOU CAN END VIOLENCE BY DISARMING LAW-ABIDING CITIZENS. THIS HAS BEEN PROVEN FALSE.
WASHINGTON DC HAS HIGHLY RESTRICTIVE GUN LAWS AND HIGH GUN CRIME. THE ANTI-GUN CROWD REPLIES: THEY GET THEM IN VIRGINIA, (CITE OF TODAY'S MASSACRE). BUT EVEN INCLUDING TODAY'S MASSACRE, VIRGINIA, HAS A LOW GUN CRIME RATE - PROVING IT AIN'T THE AVAILABILITY GUNS. ANOTHER EXAMPLE: VERMONT - IT HAS VIRTUALLY NO GUN LAWS AND NO GUN CRIME TO SPEAK OF.
BY THE ANTI-GUN CROWD'S LOGIC, YOU COULD PACIFY IRAQ BY GETTING THE IRAQIS PARLIAMENT TO PASS HIGHLY RESTRICTIVE GUN LAWS.

IDIOTS.
