The Carter Doctrine

I was ignorant of the Carter Doctrine until a poster at the Netscape blog informed me.
Let our position be absolutely clear: An attempt by any outside force to gain control of the Persian Gulf region will be regarded as an assault on the vital interests of the United States of America, and such an assault will be repelled by any means necessary, including military force.
I guess he was a Blood For Oil kind of guy.

  3. you iz a GREAT blogger.

there's just some much out there...

that's why TAB has become a group blog: to aggregate a variety of right of center libertarian-esque/traditionalist hawks (from around the USA and the world)

and make it easier for folks who read blogs to get a whole panoply of POV's.

the ten of us each have different POV's and different backgrounds and different favorite reads - and slightly different attitudes about just about everything.

this means as a group we can keep each other - and our readers - on top of more things.

    TAB: breadth; depth; and attitude!

thanks again for getting on board!
