VIETNAM, SOMALIA, ATOCHA AND BAGHDAD

Iran - thorough its jihadoterrorist proxies in Iraq, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, and Gaza - seek to achieve their goal of regional hegemony and reestablishment of the Caliphate under Shia, Iran-dominated sharia by getting the USA to WITHDRAW from the region: to withdraw from Iraq; to withdraw aid from the nascent Iraqi democracy; to withdraw aid to Israel and Egypt and the Palestinian Authority and everywhere else in the region.

All the Iranians and their jihadoterrorist proxies have to do to achieve this goal is make the USA electorate sick & tired enough of fighting to elect veto-proof majorities in the next Congress and a Democrat president in the next election.

This electoral strategy has worked well in the recent past:

(a) The jihadoterrorist attack in the Atocha train station in Madrid led to the election of a Left-wing pacifist anti-Zionist anti-American caliphate-appeasing socialist government. (b) The Black Hawk Down incident in Somalia led the left-wing Clinton Administration to withdraw from Somalia. (c) The Tet Offensive led the American public to believe that Vietnam was unwinnable militarily.

IN FACT, NOTHING ABOUT ANY OF THESE THREE INSTANCES ACTUALLY DIMINISHED OUR SIDE'S ABILITY TO WIN, OR ACTUALLY MATERIALLY IMPROVED THE ENEMY'S POSITION. IN FACT, WE WON THE TET OFFENSIVE AND WERE WINNING IN SOMALIA, AND WON THE BATTLE FOR MOGADISHU.

But the Left and the MSM played these instances AS IF they WERE losses and therefore played right into the hands of the enemy.

Binladen and Iran KNOW this. THIS IS THEIR ENTIRE STRATEGY: To wear down American resolve and get us to withdraw from Iraq as we did from Somalia and Vietnam - as the USSR did from Afghanistan. As Spain did from Iraq. AND SPAIN IS NO MERE "ASIDE" in this strategy - it points to the enemy's sophisticated knowledge of our electoral politics and how they can effect change in it which ios beneficial to THEIR goal: THEY ADEPTLY INCREASED ATTACKS IN IRAQ IN THE MONTH BEFORE THE USA ELECTION; THIS HAD IT'S DESIRED EFFECT:

ELECTING LEFT-WING DOVES WHO WOULD MUCH MORE LIKELY TO ENACT POLICIES OUR ENEMY WANTS ENACTED.

We are at a critical juncture in the GWOT, and the enemy knows this. The enemy knows that if the Bush Surge can be defeated - over the next 12-18 months, then the enemy's de facto allies - the Democrat Party in Congress - will pull the plug on the USA's involvement Iraq. If not now, then in 2008.

That's why expect the fighting to get much worse. And I expect the dove lefties who control the MSM and the Democrat Party to do EXACTLY what the enemy wants: abandon the Iraqis they sane exact way they abandoned the CONTRAS and the South Vietnamese. The way the socialist party of Spain responded to the Atocha attack: like the appeasing anti-American cowards they truly are. And have been for decades.

As has been snidely suggested before, perhaps the only way to stop this is for Iraq to declare itself a socialist state and for Maliki to declare himself a socialist dictator who will demand universal healthcare for all Iraqis. The the leftie dems would then likely support him as they did Ho Chi Minh, Castro, Ortega, Allende, and now Chavez!

Bottom-line: the future of the free World now comes to two things - only two things stand between standing down the enemy one the one hand, and handing them Iraq on the other: GEORGE W. BUSH'S GUTS AND OUR BRAVE TROOPS.
