The US lost 58,219 military personnel in Vietnam. The US has lost 3,012 solders and marines in Iraq. The US lost more innocents in 3 1/2 hours on September 11, 2001 than brave soldiers and marines in 3 1/2 years of fighting in Iraq; a country that has a lower violent death rate than New Orleans!
