GIVING THANKS FOR FREEDOM

The very first Thanksgiving in the New World was a celebration of the first great harvest of the Pilgrims. The prior harvests had all been poor because the settlement was run under a socialist compact and group ownership. When that was changed to private ownership, and concomittant personal incentives, the harvest was great! This is completely docymented by WIlliam Bradford who was governor of the Plymouth Colony. (And, this is exactly what happened in China in the 1980's. proiving that private enterprise and free markets WORK; socialism does not!) Much more HERE; EXCERPT:

Thus the real reason for Thanksgiving, deleted from the official story, is: Socialism does not work; the one and only source of abundance is free markets, and we thank God we live in a country where we can have them.

America was founded in liberty and justice, and has remained committed to the inalienable human rights that we are each endowed with by the Creator. When we are free to use the talents which God has blessed each one of us with, then and only then we are able to harvest the inherent bounty of Earth.

We must always remain thankful for our talents, the bounty of the Earth, and for living in a nation which doesn't deny us our innate rights.
