DENMARK AND CHINA SIGN WIND-ENERGY DEAL

One reason oil prices are up is because demand is up, in part because the world economy is good, and in part because India and China have become big consumers of oil. And they will need more and more energy as their economies grow. SO THIS DEAL IS POTENTIALLY VERY IMPORANT:

China and Denmark on Wednesday launched a wind energy program, which will be financed by a Danish grant of 45 million Danish Kronur (about 60 million yuan) over the next three years.

In an agreement signed in Beijing on Wednesday, the Danish aid will be used to help China improve its technological and management capacity in wind power development, and to help local authorities develop their own wind energy development plans.

Denmark is leading the world in wind energy development.

The more WIND China harnesses for energy the less oil they will need and the lower OIL prices will become. And remember this: the Three Gorges Hydroelectric Plant will be openIng soon. This will help too. Technology - and not taxes or Kyoto or price controls - is the answer to our energy needs.
