Iran's Revolutionary Guards have set up a network of secret smuggling routes to ferry men and equipment into Iraq for attacks on coalition troops, according to an exiled opposition group.These actions are clearly an act of war, and deserve to be treated as such. They won't treated as such until the time is most ripe - from OUR POV. And the table ain't competely set, YET.
I predict we will neutralize Iran as a meddler in Iraq - and as a potential nuclear power - not later than January 2007. About a year after we will have neutralized the murderous Assad regime. And have Iran COMPLETELY isolated and surrounded.
ttl;
ReplyDeleteyou are dense.
i NEVER said we would use ,military force against Assad. NEVER.
we will topple him w/o military force and move on iran after that.
we MIGHT use force against Iran.
and your wrong about your last point too: GEB abd the GOp do have the poltical will to do what they must in WW4.
the dems - on the other hand - will abandon the iraqis as they did the south vietnamese and the contras.
the dems/dhimmicrats are the weak-kneed appeasers.
don't conflate the dems/left with the USA.
iranb CANNOIT ditch their proxies - becasue for them it is a RELIGIUOUS war. their "version of the koran" tells them they must do what their doing.
that's why they will go down as hiutler did: suicidally, after bringing ruin on to their nation and shame on their religion.
AB,
ReplyDeleteWhen you say we will topple the Assad regime, and then Iran will be surrounded, it gives the impression that you think American troops will be in Syria, thus surrounding Iran.
I know what you mean because I read your blog all the time. But, I can understand why it's hard for TrytingtoLearn to understand what you mean.
By the way, why do you think the toppling of the Syrian regime will surround Iran? They could simply elect another more mild Islamist. For instance, Turkey is democratic, but they are hardly a nation that could help us strategically.
Am I missing something?
pastorious;
ReplyDeleteas alwasy KEEN INSIGHTS and good criticism.
thanks.
(1) you're right; i thinkwe can surround iran without invading syria or having troops there.
like we surrounded the USSR. in some places ALLIES and friendly regimes do the surrounding or help with the syrrounding.
surrounded also can be taken to mean in a figurative sense.
(2) turkey is a good example of a stae that is an ally but not toatlly supportive. LIKE GERMANY AND FRANCE. this is fundamentlly opkay - even tho' it makes the job tpougher to accomplish.
if a new syrian regime were to merely become NEUTRAL it would be a GIANT step in the right direction.
for iraq,. iran, israel, jordan, and turkey, and the kurds.
