BUSH ON SYRIA: HE USES THE "F" WORD!

FORCE, that is = as in military("Reuters"):
President George W. Bush said military action was a last resort in dealing with Syria and he hoped Damascus would cooperate with a probe into the killing of former Lebanese premier Rafik al-Hariri. "A military (option) is always the last choice of a president," he told Al Arabiya television ... "I am hoping that they will cooperate. It (military action) is the last -- very last option," he said. "But on the other hand, you know -- and I've worked hard for diplomacy and will continue to work the diplomatic angle on this issue." Bush said Syria had to meet a set of demands from the international community, including expelling Palestinian militant groups, preventing insurgents from crossing its borders into Iraq to fight U.S. forces, and ending Syrian interference in Lebanon. "Nobody wants there to be a confrontation. On the other hand, there must be serious pressure applied," he said.
The propect of Syria being put under sanctions, and of Assad and his murderous henchmen being charged with murder - and being overthrown - like the withdrawal of Syria from Lebanon - is a direct result of the Iraq War - in which Bush demostrated high ideals, tough talk, and followed it up with tough actions and resolve. And it's more proof Bush was right in his September 2002 speech to the UN general Assembly: ("The people of Iraq can shake off their captivity. They can one day join a democratic Afghanistan and a democratic Palestine, inspiring reforms throughout the Muslim world. These nations can show by their example that honest government, and respect for women, and the great Islamic tradition of learning can triumph in the Middle East and beyond. And we will show that the promise of the United Nations can be fulfilled in our time. ")
