I was a very big booster of the Pope's first sermons; he rightly attacked moral relativism and the moral decay of Europe. That's why I was very pissed at the Pope after the Vatican made a few anti-Israel/anti-Semitic remarks. Today, the Pope visited a synagogue in Germany and atoned. I forgive him. But I will be watching him closely.
That was easy enough...
ReplyDelete1 synagogue visit ='s 50 Hail Mary's?
bwahahahaha! good one!
ReplyDeleteseriously: its only the second visit by a pope to a synagogue.
it's a good thing.
more is needed. i pray more will come.
i'm a JEW. i believe that Christians are A-OK because they adore and fear the Lord and commune on the Old Testament (their term!).
As PB16 has said: for jews, the covenant is alive. tho' he also belives that his church is the true path, too. when pressed on the seeming inconsistency, he said: it's a mystery to him, too; G-d works in mysterous ways sometimes...
a good answer...
i think we must do our part here in this world.
he can make a difference for the good and the just and the truth. i pray he will.
