VDH REMINDS BUSH: IT'S US OR THEM

RTWT. Excerpt:
Three years ago no one was talking about profiling at airports. Now the British are exploring how best to do it. Indeed, one of the stranger developments in recent memory is now taking place the world over: Young, Middle-Eastern, Muslim men are eyed and studied by passengers at every airport — even as governments still lecture about the evils of the very profiling that their own millions are doing daily. Muslims can thank al Qaeda, Hamas, Hezbollah, and an entire culture that won’t condemn terrorism for such ostracism, which only increases with each suicide bomber, human shield, hijacking, kidnapping, and macabre reference to genocide and Jew-killing.

In an amorphous war of self-induced Western restraint, like the present one, truth and moral clarity are as important as military force. This past month, the world of the fascist jihadist and those who tolerate him was once again on display for civilization to fathom. Even the most timid and prone to appeasement in the West are beginning to see that it is becoming a question of “the Islamists or us.”
Bush said this in 2001 -
"Every nation, in every region, now has a decision to make. Either you are with us, or you are with the terrorists. From this day forward, any nation that continues to harbor or support terrorism will be regarded by the United States as a hostile regime."
The problem is that several of Bush's actions since 2004 - (like letting Moki al Sadr off the hook in 2004 and Assad off the hook this year) - and especially the recent cease-fire, make it seem like he has wussed out.

The Hizballah War and the foiled German and foiled British terrorist attacks should make it clear to everyone that what we really need is an even more robust and ruthless counter-attack, and not more talk.

MY MESSAGE TO BUSH: If we wanted to wuss out then we would have elected Kerry!

MESSAGE TO OSAMA

LISTEN TO MIKE MORAN. NYC FIREMAN. ONE OF THE BRAVEST. PEOPLE WHO RUSH IN AS OTHERS RUSH OUT. LIKE THOSE WHO SERVE IN OUR ARMED FORCES.

I have a feeling that Osama's time is almost up. In the last year we've rolled up many al Qaeda leaders; last week we got their #3 in Pakistan. In fact - despite the idiotic so-called cease-fire - I feel that we are closer than ever to rolling up Osama and Zawahiri and Nasrallah and Assad and Ahmadinejad.

They are the last in a long line of islamofascists whose message and means belong to an age we grew out of a thousand years ago. They will not go without a fight, and they will fight ever more viciously the closer we get to destroying them - like mad-dogs cornered and about to be shot. Not to worry: it's always darkest before the dawn.

SOCIALISM FAILS YET AGAIN: NYC IN THE SAME BOAT AS EUROPE

NYTIMES:
The chief actuary, Robert C. North, has prepared a little-noticed set of alternative calculations showing that the gap in the pension funds could be as wide as $49 billion.

That is nearly the size of the city’s entire annual budget and the equivalent of the city’s publicly disclosed outstanding debt. The existence of a big gap between the city’s future obligations and the resources committed to meet them does not mean the pension funds are about to run out of money.

But it does mean that New York City is promising its current employees future benefits it might not be able to provide without big tax increases or major budget cuts. When such a reckoning might occur, if at all, is hard to predict.
Europe and NYC have social/welfare obligations that they can only solve with massive tax hikes which will destroy their economies. It's sort of a Catch 22. The ultimate answer is privatization of health and retirement benefits. Something the Left will fight to their death. SO BE IT.

The city is in other trouble:
More than a third of its population is made up of immigrants who have arrived since 1990l (most are hard-working and have helped the city's economy, in ways, but their non-assimiliation has weakened the fabric of the community). The schools suck. The streets are as dirty as ever. And crime is rising.
THE CITY MISSES RUDY. Bloomberg is a liberal and weak on crime and soft on the unions. If Rudy doesn't run for POTUS, I hope he runs for mayor again. Rudy will fight crime and cut taxes and cut spending and find a way to privatize the city's retirement obligations.

MORE PROOF OF THE LEFTIST MSM

INCONTROVERTIBLE:
According to Nexis, not a single American news organization other than Fox News Channel has covered the anti-terrorism anti-Hizballah/anti-Hamas full-page ad in the LATimes, which was signed by many Hollywood luminaries.

BIRDS OF A FEATHER - part 14

Check out this post with photos at No Pasaran. It illustrates the affinity between the Left and the jihadomaniacs. This affinity is basic and deep. It is based on the fact that all totalitarian utopianist ideologies are anti-personal liberty and anti-West. They all crave enforced outcomes, and seek to inflict their outcome on everyone else.

This affinity is not merely abstract. Many Leftists actively suppport jihado-hegemony. Others run interference for them. This is why the Left is a Fifth Column for the enemy, and why we need to crush the Left here at home in order to defeat the jihadomaniacs worldwide.

We need to dismantle the Leftist MSM, and their stranglehold on the academy. That way we can put an end to fauxtography, defeatist spin, "fake but accurate news," and prevent the next generation from being poinsoned by post-modern Leftism.

Because millions of Muslims all over the world are teaching their children that genocide is their religious duty, we must be prepared for a long global war. If our children continue to be programmed by Leftists who apologize for jihadism, then... we haven't got a prayer. [PUN INTENDED.]

ADDENDUM: Need more proof that Muslim genocidal terror is systemic and not isolated? Here's a link to a blog run by a moderate Arab Muslim. Here's an excerpt of a recent post - imploring other moderate muslims to sign a petition; which statesm in part (excerpt):
To: the Islamic Ummah

Firmly believing in Allah's divine mercy and compassion, and sharing his love for all his creatures, the undersigned members of the peace loving and moderate majority of Muslims, revolted and repulsed by blasphemous bloodshed in Allah's name, reject as un-Islamic conduct all acts of terrorism including but not limited to:
* school bus attack at Nahariya/Avivim (1970) which killed nine innocent children
* Ma'alot massacre (1974)
* Karni crossing bombing (2005)
* World Trade Center attacks
* Madrid rail bombing
* London rail bombing
* Beslan massacre
* genocide in Darfur
* Bali night club bombings
* decapitation of Danny Pearl
* decapitation of Nick BergWe condemn, regardless of the identity of the victims, terrorism in all its forms, bombings, shootings, knifings, hijackings, abductions and mass casualty attacks because they do unjust injury to innocent people and irreparable damage to Islam.
We call for the exclusion of incitement to terrorist violence from our madrassah curriculum, kittab & kutbah and from the mass media of all Islamic nations.

We call for withholding Zakat from all organizations which teach, incite, facilitate or organize & perform acts of terrorism.

We call on all Imams and Mullahs to fill their kutbah with Allah's love, mercy and guidance, not with blood thirsty calls for Jihad. We call on the Ulema to reject, as inspired by Shaytan,[22:52] the ayats & ahadith used by radical extremists to rationalize their terrorism.

All this we declare on our own free will, without any hesitation, mental reservation, kitman or al-taqeya whatsoever, by him in whose hand our souls are!
This blog got 9 comments and the petition got 79 signatures. TOTAL. There are 1 billion Muslims. The pitiful percentage seems about right to me; it proves that though the jihadoterrorists might only be a small fraction of the world's Muslims, the support they get from other Muslims - tacit and otherwise - is massive.

This global war against jihadism will last until incitement to terrorist violence is banned from madrassah curriculum, kittab and kutbah, and from the mass media of all Islamic nations. Calling Islam an ROP does not suffice. We must ramp up the non-military pressure: We should exclude from all international aid and trade any nation which fails to eliminate the promulgation of jihadism and put and end to Muslim misogyny, endogamy and polygamy.

THE IRAQ WAR WAS ALWAYS CENTRAL TO THE WAR ON JIHADOTERROR

There were three major reasons why the Iraq War was conceived of as being central to the GWOT:
(1) The suffering the sanctions had inflicted on Iraq (largely because of how Saddam and the UN perverted the Oil for Food Program) were a major complaint of al Qaeda. By overthrowing Saddam, we were able to end the sanctions and invest in Iraq and the Iraqi people. This neutralized a major recruitng plank of al Qaeda.

(2) The US troops stationed in Saudi Arabia were a major complaint of al Qaeda. By overthrowing Saddam we wee able to withdraw all our troops from Saudi Arabia. This negated a major recruiting plank of al Qaeda.

(3) Saddam aided jihadoterror all over the world. By overthrowing Saddam we cut off these jihadoterrorists from Iraq's oil wealth.
These three basic and important strategic goals were unequivocably achieved by our war against Saddam.
[ASIDE: There were other reasons for overthrowing Saddam; the UNSCR #1441 details a couple of dozen. And then there's the fact that Saddam was firing on our forces - an act of war in anyone's book. And don't forget that enforcing the no-fly zones was costing us billions each year and could not be kept up in perpetuity. These no-fly zones actually prevented genocide of the Kurds and the Shias.]
Since 2004, al Qaeda has chosen to make Iraq a central front in the GWOT - though they began terrorist operations there as soon as Saddam was toppled. Making the post-Saddam Iraq the central battlefield in the GWOT was not decided unilaterally by the USA. We believed we could do in Iraq what we had done in Afghanistan - where al Qaeada is still fighting, but not as intensively as in Iraq. This is in part because we are getting more aid from the EU and NATO in Afghanistan and also more assistance from Pakistan. In Iraq, we're not getting enough military assistance from the EU or NATO, and Iraq's neighbor - Iran - is actively attacking the nascent democracy by aiding the most extreme elements of the Shia community.

Nevertheless, Iraq is making progress: We and our Iraqi allies are fighting back and defending a nascent democracy. This is a noble cause. It deserves our support. Politicians who decry it as lost and who call for withdrawal are cowardly scum doing the bidding of Iran and al Qaeda.

Lefties and doves also charge that Bush and trhe neocons promised that the GWOT and the Iraq War - and its aftermath - would be a cake-walk. The doves are WRONG AGAIN: Bush always said the GWOT was going to be a long war - on the scale of the Cold War. Bush never promised a short war. NEED PROOF? Here's a link to a TIME article from the week afetr 9/11/01. EXCERPT:
Posted Tuesday, Sep. 25, 2001

Wars are easy to start. But they can be difficult to sustain. George W. Bush understands this, and so has been furiously managing expectations, pressing the case with almost everyone he talks to that this will be a long war against terrorism.
Er, um... that's Bush saying that the GWOT was going to be a long war a couple of weeks after 9/11. IOW: it's not a recent excuse meant to rationalize the fact that we are - five years after 9/11 - still fighting the enemy. Those who argue this are just flat out plain wrong.

Doves and Dems also charge that "democratization is a post-facto rationalization dreamed up by the Rove/Perle/Cheney/neocon/Likud hawks, and only became a central part of the effort to justify the Iraq War because of the apparent absence of WMD." They are flat out plain wrong on this count, too. Bush spoke of democratization six months before the war began in his address at and challenge to the UN. EXCERPT:
If we meet our responsibilities, if we overcome this danger, we can arrive at a very different future. The people of Iraq can shake off their captivity. They can one day join a democratic Afghanistan and a democratic Palestine, inspiring reforms throughout the Muslim world. These nations can show by their example that honest government, and respect for women, and the great Islamic tradition of learning can triumph in the Middle East and beyond. And we will show that the promise of the United Nations can be fulfilled in our time.
Those who whine that the war against jihadoterrorism is dragging on too long, and that Iraq and democratization a distractions have forgotten these words. These words prove that the whiners and defeatists are just flat-out wrong.

And the whining doves and defeatist Dems have forgotten that after 9/11, the Left also argued that we were going to have to "drain the swamp." Well, that's what democratization does; it drains the swamp. And it takes time to drain swamps as scummy as those which have been fouled by the likes of Saddam and by islamofascism.

That's why we need to be a little patient. YEAH YEAH: Like Mr. Ledeen, I want us to go "faster, please." But I accept a basic fact: this is an epochal conflict, and it's probably going to last a few more decades. Which is why it would be helpful if the Democrats and the MSM got on board and stopped supporting the enemy.

And it would also be nice if those on the Right who are - (in the aftermath of the Hizballah-friendly terms of the so-called cease-fire) - getting fed up with Bush's seeming timidity, woiuld shut up, too.

Whether we like it or not, those of us in the West... we're all in this together.

FLOWER POWER ON HOT AIR: must see TV

7000 USA Marines died taking Iwo Jima from the Japanese in 1945. 21,000 Japanese were killed - many by flame-throwers. FDR did not fight WW2 with one hand tied behind his back - as Bush and Olmert are doing now. Watch HOT AIR for more insight. NOW.

THE ROOT CAUSE FOR PESSIMISM: Israel grotesquely cast as villain in one-sided TV news

DISSECTING LEFTISM:
Coverage of Israel's entirely justified strike against Hezbollah in Lebanon has emphasised the sinister way that war as reality television distorts the reality of war.

Within a week or so of the start of fighting, the idea was being canvassed that this was a public relations war, and Israel was losing it. The main basis for the proposition was the depiction on TV of destruction wrought by Israeli bombs and artillery fire on villages and towns near the Lebanon-Israel border and, especially, the killing of civilians. ...

Viewed as a TV program, the past six weeks' fighting has seen Israel portrayed as a rampaging villain.

This grossly distorts the reality of a free and democratic society (with a fully participating Arab population of almost one million) robustly defending itself against a specific attempt to destroy it that had been in the planning for nearly six years.
Once again, the MSM has carried the water for the enemy. This certainly effects pubic sentiment - which is central to the efforts and goals of the enemy: the enemy wants us stop counter-attacking, to appease them and to become dhimmis, and the MSM helps them by making our efforts at counter-attacking them seem futile and cruel. This leads to pessimism. I thi nk this makes them the PessiMSM.

THE HIZBALLAH-ISRAELI WAR SENT A MESSAGE, AND THE CEASE-FIRE IS A TABLE-SETTER

Many people are "awfulizing" the recent Hizballah-Israeli War. In fact, it went well for Israel: No Arab nation came to Hizballah's aid, and Hizballah was only spared by international intervention, an inbtervention which is patently a last chance.

And, Israel sent a powerful message to Jordan and Egypt and Saudi Arabia and even Syria and Iran: if you mess with us - or
let jihadowackos from your territory mess with us - we will eff you up, bigtime.

UPDATE: Ed Morrissey of CQ cites reports that Abbas has declared a unilateral cease-fire as proof of the fact that the message has been received. EM/CQ:
This demonstrates that the Israelis gained something from their actions in Lebanon, and earlier in Gaza. The Olmert government may have mishandled the military strategy in their Lebanon incursion -- almost certainly they did -- but their ferocious response to what had been routine provocations made an impression on both Hezbollah and the Palestinian fighters. The latter want to bring an end to the fighting before the Israelis redeploy their retreating troops into the two Palestinian areas.
AND ANOTHER THING: Just because some Arabs
claim victory, (by cheering the terrorists as they stand amid the rubble) - and just because some wobbly hand-wringers in the West seem to agree - doesn't make it so. The enemy lost on the battlefield, and they cannot claim a moral victory: Moral victory and Hizb'allah are mutually exclusive terms.

And, the next time Israel decides it has to retaliate against Hizballah there will be no restraint and no cease-fire - only defeat for Hizballah, and it will be seen as completely justified by every nation which voted for the cease-fire.

Of course, I'd've rather that Israel had just gone and wiped out Hizballah now, and of course they were justified to do it now, and of course it is unfair and unjust for Israel to be held to a different standard than any other nation. And of course it's insane that France and the other nations will send troops to defend Hizballah but not to defend the emerging democracy in Iraq, or to defend Israel.

But that's where the world is at right now. And Bush and Condi are trying to move the Euroweenies along and keep us more united now (than we've been the last two years) because of what's in store for us... very soon: the confrontation with Iran. And North Korea.

Brace yourself. You ain't seen nothing yet.

HACK LEFT-WING CARTER APPOINTED JUDGE RULES AGAINST THE POTUS AND FOR THE ENEMY, (AL QAEDA AND THE ACLU)

Everything you need to know about the judge and her idiotic ruling is right here at GATEWAY, and what's not there... he links to.

BOTTOM-LINE: the Left is a Fifth Column, and they're using their immense power in the MSM and in the courts to try to get us to surrender to the enemy.

Which reminds me.... here's a link to a hilarious send-up which reveals the utter idiocy of the Left's love for court-mandates, and how Judge Taylor-Diggs - and her comrades in the ACLU and the Left - might combat terrorism, if given the chance.

(Earlier post on this Carter appointed judge HERE.)

THE PARTY OF CORRUPTION: THE DEMOCRATS

BRAINSTER:
On Nov. 7, 2000, the day of the big election between Vice President Al Gore and Texas Gov. George W. Bush, Riley appeared at the polling place in Oconomowac, Wis., where he had registered to vote just the day before, voting records show. His ex-wife owned a home there. "Then he drove down to Chicago where he was already registered and he voted again," said Michael Crooks, a Wisconsin attorney who filed a complaint against Riley with Wisconsin election officials. "This is about as blatant as it gets."

Riley is running for the State Senate in Wisconsin this year.
I betchya tens of thousnads of Dems pull this schtick EVERY YEAR, all over the USA. They have zero morals: they support abortion on demand; euthanasia; abandoning our allies; appeasing our enemies; and are atheistic socialists who believe in redistributing private property and a command economy.

In short, the Dem left (which now controls the party again) supports everything which is amoral, pacifistic and proven to lead to economic disaster. And they love murderers and lying-serial rapists and incompetent traitors.

A thorough roundup of Dem corruption (with dozens of links) HERE.

NORTH KOREA GETTING READY TO TEST A NUKE. IS IT A SALES DEMONSTRATION?

ABC NEWS:
There is new evidence that North Korea may be preparing for an underground test of a nuclear bomb, U.S. officials told ABC News.

"It is the view of the intelligence community that a test is a real possibility," said a senior State Department official.
Is this a test, or a sales demonstration?

Iranians were at the last round of missile tests - done on the Fourth of July. They may very well be attending the upcoming nuclear tests. It makes perfect sense: The NoKos are hard-up for money and the mullahs have a hard-on for nukes. That makes them a perfect match. And if the Iranian program isn't already up-and-running, then having a few Noko nukes on hand - and in a hurry - might be just what the mullah ordered.

I am praying that the previous NoKo missile tests were not duds but sabotaged by USA SF operating deep in enemy territory, and that they can do the same kind of thing on this upcoming nuke test.

SELF-DESTRUCTIVE DELUSIONS: "AWFULIZING" THE HIZBALLAH WAR

From The American Thinker:
The psychologist Albert Ellis ... realized that depressed people have a habit of “awfulizing”—- interpreting small setbacks as catastrophes. Ellis demonstrated that depressed people could learn to re-think their tendency to awfulize. He taught them to tell themselves, “This is a pain in the A**, not a catastrophe.” Ellis made up the word “awfulizing” or “catastrophizing” to talk about this self-destructive mental habit.

The outcome of the Hezbo War is a pain in the anatomy but not a catastrophe.
It's a good short essay which puts the hand-wringers and defeatists - sadly, this time including many on the Right - in their place. In every rational and objective measure the IDF beat Hizballah. Israel was only prevented from inflicting a coup de grace - FOR THE TIME BEING.

I think that the root cause of the popularity for "awfulizing" the Hizballah War is depression: many people are depressed that after 5 years we have not yet vaquished the enemy.

These wobbly defeatists - on the Left AND the Right - need to be reminded that this war - the GWOT - will be a war as least as long as the Cold War, and not as short as WW2. Pulling out now would be premature evacuation, and prematurely evacuating now - as we did in Somalia and Cuba and Korea and Vietnam, and as the Democrat doves would like to do in Iraq - is not the answer.

Look at the Hizballah War this way: it's as if Israel was a champion boxer who - in the sixth round of a 12 round contest - had the scrappy dirty whinning challenger, Hizballah, badly bloodied and on the ropes. And just before Israel can deliver a knockout blow, the ref stops the fight. Before either the knockout blow could've been thrown and before Hizballah had thrown in their towel. The fight's over but not the feud. And because no one will disarm Hizabllah and they won't disarm voluntarily, there will be a rematch. And the next time these two fighters get in the ring, there will be no ref.

BOTTOM-LINE: We must never give in. Never, never, never, never. Never.

IS THE IRAQ WAR THE X21 GENERATION'S WW1?

WW1 spawned the pacifism, defeatism and self-flagellation by the West - (by spawning post-modernism, and its concommitant cultural and moral relativism) - and it led directly to the policies of appeasement and that led to WW2.

The over-reaction to the horrific losses and casualties caused by WW1 is why so many in Europe to this day reject Western Civilization as a basically racist and bellicose enterprise which in their opinion has been and remains a blight on human history. It's the foundation of the Left's affinity to any non-Western belligerant who claims to have been wronged by the West - like the jihadomaniacs. They hate the USA because the USA is the defender of the West and they loathe the West; (the leftist dominated academy has taught them that the West caused Third World poverty and is causing Global Warming, two falsehOods). Bottom-line: The Great Satan for both the jihadomaniacs and the post modern Leftists is th USA.

I'm beginning to believe that a whole new generation of Westerners - folks born after Vietnam and not too aware of WW1, "THE X21 GENERATION" - is having a similar reaction to the Iraq War - despite the fact that the Iraq War is actually one of the least damaging wars the USA has ever fought. Many feel this way because of the relentless propaganda broadcast over-and-over-and-over again and again by the MSM - including all kinds of biased trumped up events, and fraudulent, photoshopped fauxtographs and staged events.

IOW: many people are exhausted by a war they have been told is unwinnable, and they "just wannna to go home." As if that was possible, feasible, and advisable.

Of course, it is not. Retreat is not any better than appeasement. Dhimmitude is servitude. And it would be the beginning of the end of the West.

We are still at the beginning of a Long War. One more than a thousand years old. Unless the West unites - and rallies behind our cause, the cause of liberty, we are doomed.

I advise my friends on the Left to do as the Labor Party did during WW2: they at least waited until the end of the conflict in the European Theater before turning against Churchill and the Tories.

If the US electorate elects a Democrat Congress this November, it would be like electing Chamberlain in 1942.

We have a choice: we can either turn back the clock to 1938 and appease the enemy, or we can turn up the heat on the enemy.

If we choose appeasement and retreat, the enemy will be emboldened and the ultimate battles will be worse than if we keep pressing them now.

Despite logic, and the proof of history, the Dem doves and appeasers might win in 2006: Appeasement is seductive. Most evil things are.

MORE HERE.

HIZBALLAH LOST

Here is one argument - made by a Lebanese military expert.

Need more proof? Here: Nasrallah, Assad and Iran claim victory because they "fought Israel to a standstill." FIGHTING TO A CLAIMED STANDSTILL IS A VICTORY?! THEY'RE BRAGGING ABOUT A CLAIMED STANDSTILL?! Sheesh.

Besides, if that's a standstill, then I'd hate to see what a defeat Lebanon would look like! PHOTOS - (un-photoshoped, HEH) - HERE.

MSM: "HIZBALLAH LEADS EFFORTS TO REBUILD LEBANON"

The MSM is carrying water for the enemy, again:
As stunned Lebanese returned Tuesday over broken roads to shattered apartments in the south, it increasingly seemed that the beneficiary of the destruction was most likely to be Hezbollah. A major reason — in addition to its hard-won reputation as the only Arab force that fought Israel to a standstill — is that it is already dominating the efforts to rebuild with a torrent of money from oil-rich Iran.
YEAH: And Mussolini made the trains run on time. (More here.)

IOW:Hizballah+UN+Sinora gov't = Nazis+League of Nations+Weimar.

[ASIDE: The NYTIMES reporter apes what many in the MSM - even in Israel - are sayiong: they claim this war was a draw and draws go to Hizballah. This is Tet Offensive-style BS. On every basic objective measure the IDF won and Hizballah lost. Hizballah lost more men, more assets, AND territory - and they were only saved when Israel held back. This is not a draw, or a loss for the IDF - unless you think Sadat won the Yom Kippur War and Arafat the two Intifadas and Saddam the Gulf War.]

ISRAEL: IF HIZBALLAH IS NOT DISARMED - AS UNSCR 1701 DEMANDS - THEN IT WILL RESUME COUNTER-ATTACK

THE MESSAGE IS CLEAR:
The IDF will have to resume operations in Lebanon if the expanded United Nations force being assembled does not fulfill its obligation to dismantle Hizbullah, an official in the Prime Minister's Office warned on Tuesday.

Lebanese Prime Minister Fuad Saniora and Hizbullah leader Hassan Nasrallah reportedly reached a deal allowing Hizbullah to keep its weapons but refrain from exhibiting them in public. Israeli officials called the arrangement a violation of UN Security Council Resolution 1701, which passed over the weekend and was approved on Sunday by the cabinet.

"The resolution is clear that Hizbullah needs to be removed from the border area, embargoed and dismantled," the official said. "If the resolution is not implemented, we will have to take action to prevent the rearming of Hizbullah. I don't think backtracking will serve any useful purpose. There has to be pressure on Hizbullah to disarm or there will have to be another round."
THE WAR WILL RESUME, AND THIS TIME NEITHER FAUXTOGRAPHY NOR PRO-JIHADI DIPLOMACY WILL WORK: THE IDF WILL BE RELENTLESS AND UNBRIDLED AND THE WAR WON'T END UNTIL THE ENEMY IS VANQUISHED.

(And after that victory - in retrospect - the cease-fire will be regarded as a blunder, an example of "premature evacuation" by the West.)

THE TRUE FACE OF THE ENEMY - PART 4

WHY DO THEY HATE US? BECAUSE THEY'RE RAISED THAT WAY. LGF CALLS IT CHILD ABUSE. IT IS. THIS VIDEO WILL GIVE YOU AN INKLING OF HOW THE ISLAMO-NAZIS HAVE RAISED A FEW GENERATIONS OF CRAZED GENOCIDAL SERIAL KILLERS. WATCH OUT: THEY'RE ON THE LOOSE.

VIDEO: JIHADISTS KIDNAPPING ARAB CHILDREN TO USE AS INVOLUNTARY HUMAN-SHIELDS

VIA NO PASARAN: A 16 second video which will make you gasp, cry and angrily demand the annihilation if the enemy. They are subhuman evil, cowardly lying murderous mangy flea-bitten bitches.

This video shows the world the true face of the enemy.

The fauxtographic propaganda the MSM spewed out the last 4 weeks - claiming to show that the Arabs are innocent victims and the Israelis murderous villians - was just filthy pack of anti-Semitic, anti-American, anti-Bush lies.

Sadly, many Arab people are hostages of Jihadism, just like Israel's three soldiers, and the Fox news team.

We mustn't ever let the truth be held hostage. Watch this video and set the truth FREE.

ASSAD ANNOUNCES WHY HE AND IRAN WAGED A PROXY WAR

ASSAD:
America's plan for a "new Middle East" has collapsed after Hizbullah's successes in fighting against Israel, Syrian President Bashar Assad said on Tuesday in Damascus. "The Middle East they (the Americans) aspire to ... has become an illusion," he said.
I think he is wrong, but at least he's admits why he and Iran fomented this war at this time: to restore the pre-Bush status quo and save his own ass and Syria's hegemony over Lebanon.

Assad went on to reveal a most common Arab trait (unfortuantely, one echoed this week by many on the Right): claiming victory where there was truly only defeat; (Sadat claimed victory in the Yom Kippur War! Ironically, Sadat was assassinated by Jihadists while at a parade "celebrating" that "victory"). Assad:
Assad said this war revealed the limitations of Israel's military power. In a 1982 invasion of Lebanon, Israeli forces surrounded Beirut within seven days of invading, he said. "After five weeks it (Israel) was still struggling to occupy a few hundred meters."

"From a military perspective, it (the battle) was decided in favor of the resistance (Hizbullah). Israel has been defeated from the beginning," Assad said. "They (Israelis) have become a subject of ridicule."
This is total BS. The only limit on Israeli military power is Israel's free will; Israel (acting through Olmert) chose to limit the range and scope and intensity of this police action - Israel chose only to attack Hizballah and only establish ground-control over the area south of the Litani. Israel was not limited by Arab resistance or bravery; Israel was limited by the UN and the MSM; in fact the lying scum of the MSM was the most effective weapon Assad and Ahmadinejad and Nasrallah had; without fauxtography they had nothing to stop the ISraelis from using the full force and fury of the IDF.

Sure: the IDF took casualties, but they did in Jenin, too. They have always taken casualties in wartime. The IDF woulds have taken fewer casualties if they has been more ruthless. The same was also true at Jenin. Histoiry will record this as another military victory for Israel - the early reports are coming in, right now; (hat tip PJM).

I believe history will record this as the lowest low-point for the Fourth Estate in all of human history. It is a real shame that many on the Right are swallowing the MSM's lies about this war hook, line and sinker. NO MATTER: believing the world is flat doesn't make it so. Believing Israel lost can't make it so, either. If Assad and Nasrallah and their stooges want to delude themselves: fine. But shame on the Right. As I said below: it was a mistake for Israel and the USA to cave into the UN, but this mistake - and the momentary respite it gives the enemy - doesn't hand the enemy a victory; it only delays our victory.

This is not new, not a novelty due to Olmert and Bush. Israel has done this many times before; Israel; Isrsel has let the enemy off the hook many times; many times it could have killed Arafat, but chose not to. They have done it again. Nevertheless, it is the enemy which has been cornered, not Israel. Nasrallah has fewer fighters, fewer missiles and weapons, and occupies fewer square miles and is more isolated from his fellow Arabs than ever. Israel did not accomplish all of it's goals, yet. But if the diplomatic efforts fail to in the coming months, then they will. And they will do so without mercy.

THE CULTURE OF CORRUPTION: THE DEMOCRATS, AGAIN

YAHOO/AP:
ORLANDO, Fla. - A state senator was found guilty... on charges that he misused taxpayer money by having state employees work to support his re-election campaign in 2004. The jury deliberated about three hours before finding Gary Siplin, a Democrat, guilty of third-degree grand theft ... He faces up to five years in jail on the felony charge...
Siplin is small potatoes... for the Dems:
... and the beat goes on; [NOTE: the above is an incomplete list; readers are invited to offer additional Dem crooks in the comments section; please limit yourself to crooks in the last two decades].

The Democrats: the party of crooks, liars, doves, anti-Semites and appeasers.

LOWERED TERROR ALERT LEVEL IN UK AND USA, AND LEBANESE CEASEFIRE: COINCIDENCES; BLINKING; OR GRAND STRATEGY?

The lowered alert levels came just as the cease-fire came into effect. Are they merely coincidental? Or did the USA and the UK force a cease-fire upon Israel in part in response to a Hizballah/Iranian/jihadist threat to them? IOW: Did Bush and Blair - and Olmert blink?

Regardless of whether they reacted to potential global threats, or merely to Middle Eastern ones, I think they blinked: Pressuring Israel to stop - when Israel could have continued until they smashed and erased Hizballah - was a mistake. No question about it. BUT CONTRARY TO WHAT THE ENEMY - AND MANY ON THE RIGHT ARE SAYING: it doesn't mean that we lost.

Israel smashed Hizaballah, killing a thousand of their fighters, demolishing their infrastructure, and destroying most of their weapons. Israel successfully took territory from Hizabllah; it was not the other way around.

Nasrallah and the Arabs might call that a victory but it isn't - at least by any rational measure. SURE: the MSM - acting as the propaganda arm for the enemy - portayed it as a Hizballah victory, but most of that fake-news was a pure lie - as phony as Jeningrad.

Which is why I am shocked that so many on the Right feel like Israel lost: It's as if they believe the crap the MSM was spewing, as if the toys were real, as if the Green-Helmet man was real, as if Qana and Houla were real, as if that old lady with her raised arms was real, as if - well, you get the idea:
The MSM lied in order to make Hizballah look like the victim - and to hurt Bush and Israel. The blogosphere proved they were lies, yet many on the Right seem to have believed them, anyway. I mean POWER LINE and NRO.
IMHO: Ed Morrisey is closer to the mark. And, these comments on background from an Israeli gov't official seem true to me.

Those who think the IDF did poorly should remember that the intifadas against Israel lasted much much longer and exacted much higher real losses for Israel. And both ended with Israel being much more politically isolated than they are now. Arafat may have called the intifadas victories, but they weren't. And this wasn't an Arab victory either.

Hizballah and its host nation were counter-attacked and not a single Arab nation came to their direct aid. Now, he UNSC has said that it will finish the job. That's not a defeat. It's a moment of truth for the UN the EU and the Arab nations: either they finally do what they should've done in 2000, or they must let Israel finish the job. Either way, very soon, the job will get finished. Maybe very soon; maybe after Assad is indicted; maybe after we preemptively neutralize Iran's nuke assets. But we shall soon see. The day of reckoning nears.

BOTTOM-LINE: In principle I'm opposed to letting the enemy off-the-ropes; we should have gone in for the kill and shown no mercy. And if the revamped UNIFIL fails, then the IDF will do just that - on day of it's choosing.

AND ANOTHER THING: Maybe Bush was using this moment to gain capital with the UN/UNSC - capital he will need to crank up the pressure on Iran? I think this is likely. And shrewd. And I think Olmert would see the value in that. Iran is the ultimate enemy, and we mujst keep our eye on that at all times. If this is why Bush forced isrsel to acceot the ceasefire - and if it does indeed get hium the leverage he needs to get the UNSC to back sanctions and an attack on Iran - then it was the right thing to do. AS THEY SAY: The proof of the pudding is in the tasting. We shall soon see. Anyway you look at: we shall soon see...

ASIDE: CAUTIONARY WORD TO THE RIGHT:
When you agree with the enemy, you're probably wrong: When the Left calls for immediate USA withdrawal from Iraq, they are agreeing with the enemy, and they are wrong; When the Right calls the cease-fire a victory for Hizballah, they agree with Hizballah and they are wrong.
[NOTE: If FDR or Truman or Churhcill - or even Thatcher and Sharon had been around, then I don't think Hizballah would've gotten a cease-fire. But Bush is the best Hawk we've got, right now. I worry about whom we might get next. Someone even less hawkish and with a similar lack of resolve will be a disaster.

BTW: If some pollster asked me if I was happy with Bush, I'd answer "NO!." But it would be big mistake for the pollster to infer that this means I'd vote Democrat. I want a POTUS to be more of a hawk on the GWOT and immigration than Bush, not less. Bush is too compassionate and not conservative enough for me.]

DIPLOMACY LEAVES HIZBALLAH, SYRIA AND IRAN COMPLETELY UNPUNISHED

POWER LINE:
... not only did Syria and Iran avoid any direct material damage to their countries, there was no serious international criticism or call for sanctions. As a result, one can expect Iran and Syria to arm Hamas on a large scale with rockets, advanced anti-tank weapons and high-quality explosives.

It seems to me that the Bush administration bears some of the responsibility for the triumph by Syria and Iran. Instead of working with the French to limit the damage that Israel could inflict on Hezbollah, perhaps the administration should have pushed for condemnation of, and sanctions against, the powers who supplied Hezbollah.
THEY LINK TO THIS DAMNING ANALYSIS, BY RUBIN OF THE JOST.

If Hizballah is merely a proxy of Iran, then they should be cut off from Iran - one way or another: making the Lenanese border air-tight and sanctioning Syria and Iran. And then they should be smashed.

If Hizballah is not a proxy, then they are merely a renegade force in violation of UNSCR#1559 and should be smashed in order to enforce this UNSC resolution and restore Lebanese democracy.

IOW: There is no excuse for NOT smashing Hizballah. The recent "cesase-fire" merely delays the inevitable and will make smashing them tougher.

If the time for diplomacy has not yet passed - in Lebanon and Iran and Syria and North Korea, then the point of no return is rapidly approaching. The only thing that can stop the day of reckoning is a Democract dove victory in Novemeber - that will lead to us surrendering to Iran and Syria and North Korea; (like Chamberlain and the Sudatenland, the Dem Left doves will do to Israel and Iraq and Afghanistan and Japan what they did to China and South Vietnam and the Contras: abandon them).

GUNTHER GRASS - NOBEL PRIZE WINNING AUTHOR AND LEADING LIGHT OF THE LEFT IN GERMANY SINCE 1960 - ADMITS HE WAS NAZI SS

Grass was a Nazi SS soldier. It only took him 65 years to admit the truth.

He's not alone, when it comes to famous "intellectual" Left-wingers who turn out to have been Nazi scum. And who could forget Martin H. Or Kurt W.

And Grass admits that he didn't become a Nazi against his will, either. And that he willfully lied about it for 65 years. Nazi scum.

We shouldn't be surprised another Leftist intellectual has admitted to being a Nazi: Hitler was - like Mussolini - a Leftist; they were both anti-Marxists and not anti-socialists; Nazism and Fascism are subsets of socialism, like Marxism. Grass merely went from being a German national socialist (which is exactly what Nazi stands for) to being a Marxist socialist. This is not a leap; it's a mere shimmy. Had he become a free market libertarian, now that would've been a leap.

The Left will remain silent on this, I expect. The Left howls about BusHitler and carries placards which equate Zionism with Nazism - and they eveb accuse the Pope of being a Nazi, (even though he was a conscript who served against his will and deserted before the end of the war).

But a real live Nazi is perfectly okay with the Left as long as he is anti-American and advocates publically funded universal healthcare. Or writes intellectually fine paragraphs.

Which is also why the tyrannnical thug and autocrat Fidel remains so popular with so many Leftists in the EU and USA.

SOME ARAB OUTRAGE AT NASRALLAH - some is better than none

We need more of this:
Dictatorial decisions taken by a single man like Nasrallah, who gets instructions from foreign countries, will always lead to sorrow. ... Nasrallah’s dictatorship will sink like those of Saddam Hussein and other regimes, which did not know their true ability. Egyptians suffered under the dictatorship of the late Gamal Abdul Nasser who led them to war in 1967. The late Egyptian President believed Arab power can defeat Israel. However, the result was different as Arabs were handed out a humiliating defeat. Nasrallah, who is being remote-controlled by Iran and Syria, believes he is in the mold of many Arab leaders. But the fact is he is playing with fire.

DEAN ON MEET THE PRESS: Lieberman sounds like Cheney

Gregory - guest-hosting for Russert ran a video clip of Lieberman:
SEN. JOE LIEBERMAN: I am committed to this campaign, to a different kind of politics, to bringing the Democratic Party back from Ned Lamont, Maxine Waters, to the mainstream.

(End videotape)

MR. GREGORY: “Back from the extreme.” Has the Democratic Party that, that you represent been taken over by the extreme?

MR. DEAN: You know, I think that was an unfortunate statement that Joe made. That’s exactly the same line that Ken Mehlman and, and Dick Cheney are using.
Lamont makes a similar charge:
Lamont said Lieberman's swipe at his candidacy "sounded an awful lot" like Cheney.
Well, what difference does that make? I mean, if Cheney said 2+2=4 and then Joe said it, he would be telling the truth; they both would be, and they would sound alike. If Ned "Corliss" Lamont said 2+2=3, then he'd be wrong. Joe tells the truth about the GWOT; Lamont and his extreme Left-wing dove supporters are just plain wrong.

Telling the truth is more important than towing the party-line. And being right on the GWOT is more important than anything else. And telling the truth is mainstream.

ADDENDUM: Lamont is an appessser descended from a major-league, world-class appeaser: the late CORLISS LAMONT, a "secular-humanist" dove who defended the USSR his whole life, and as recently as 1993 was still aggressively defending the Castro regime. From the above link:
In June 1993, under the auspices of the Center for Cuban Studies, Corliss and Beth Lamont traveled to Cuba. Fidel Castro, who was well aware of Lamont's campaign of many years to lift the U.S. embargo of his country, gave him a lengthy audience, during which the two discussed the legal possibilities of Castro suing the U.S. government over the well-documented CIA assassination attempts on his life.
More on secular humanism in general HERE.

THREE QUESTIONS FOR NED:

(1) Do you agree with the late Corliss Lamont, your grandfather, that the USA and not Castro's Marxist tyranny, is the root cause of Cuban poverty?

(2) Would you agree that assassinating the leadership of al Qaeda, and other terrorist groups and leaders of organizations which sponsor terrorism can be good policy, or do you think that even in war-time it's a crime and should be banned?

(3) Do you agree with the majority of your supporters that Bush has committed impeacheable offenses by authorizing the NSA surveillace program, and/or by attempting to try enemy combatants in special tribunals? And, BASED ON WHAT YOU KNOW NOW, would you vote to convict Bush if the House retured articles of impeachment?

More on Lamont - the cable guy - here, from Roger.

HAS BUSH BECOME A WIMP, A WUSSIE, AND A DOVE?

I've been beginning to believe that Bush has wimped out on the GWOT. Assad, Nasrallah, alSadr, Kimjongil; and Ahmadinejad all seem to be thumbing their noses at him. Bill Quick makes a good case; excerpt:
Think about those words [uttered by Bush in the days after 9/11]:
"Our enemy is...terrorists...and every government that supports them." "Any nation that continues to harbor or support terrorism will be regarded by the United States as a hostile regime." "States like these [Iraq, Iran, North Korea] constitute an axis of evil." "The United States of America will not permit the world's most dangerous regimes to threaten us with the world's most destructive weapons."
I cheered those words. I was glad I had voted for Bush, and not for Al Gore. I looked forward to President George Bush making good on his words and defending our nation against the nations of the axis of evil, and the terrorists they and others supported.

The first administration of the first century of the American Third Millennium will, in my estimation, be remembered as one of the biggest failures of that century. Bush's great failure was, not invading Iraq, but not weathering the adversity that followed through acts of real leadership, and then pressing on with the necessary military destruction of the other regimes he, himself, named as most dangerous five years ago.
I agree with a lot of this post; RTWT. My problem with condemning Bush is that there doesn't seem to be any one more hawkish around who can get elected in 2008.

MURAVCHIK makes a good case for Bush, (via POWER LINE).

Me, I think we need another Churchill or FDR or Truman - men willing to "fire-bomb" the modern day equivalents of Dresden and Tokyo and even drop the big one if we need to. They knew what victory was, and what it took.

Of all the potential candiates only Rudy has proven he can withstand the relentless Left-wing political slander and weather the worst terrorist attacks.

ROVE HENCHMAN ARRESTED IN BRITAIN, HEH

LONDON TIMES:
Britain's Al-Qaeda leader seized

SECURITY sources believe that a man arrested in last week’s anti- terror raids in Britain is Al-Qaeda’s leader in this country.

Home Office officials say that one of those arrested is suspected not only of masterminding the foiled plot to bring down up to nine transatlantic airliners, but also of involvement in other planned atrocities over the past few years.

They believe that he was instrumental in sending the ringleader of at least one previous British terror plot for training at a camp in Pakistan last year. He is described by counter-terrorist officials at MI5 as the senior figure in a British terror network involving Kashmiri, north African and Iraqi cells.
Lefties in the USA believe that this airline-bombing plot and the arrests are a hoax devised by Rove to help the GOP win the 2006 elections. If there are any arrests here you can bet your last dollar the Left/ACLU/NLG/CCR will defend them in court.

JIHADIS ON CELLPHONE BUYING SPREE

Three Arab-Muslim American Jihadis were arrested in the USA with hundreds of disposable cellphones deliberately purchased in a way to coverup the big buy.

UPDATE: JIHADI CAUGHT WITH THOUSANDS OF UNTRACEABLE PHONES!

JUST AS I PREDICTED (in January, 2006). (More here; key excerpt:
ALL of these large sales came RIGHT AFTER the NYTIMES NSA leak (12/15/05). Though this is circumstantial, it is HIGHLY SUGGESTIVE that the leak alerted the sleeper cells HERE (and perhaps elsewhere), and that they are adapting their SOP's as a result; thus, they are making it tougher for us to prevent an attack.

The jihdoterrorists might now each be using a series of phones (each only once or twice) to communicate with other jihadoterrorists who are also using a series of disposable phones - each only once or twice. All they have to do is tell their comrade which cellphone number to use next. NOW HOW ARE WE SUPPOSED TO GET WARRANTS ON THAT!? It's impossible. Which is why it's ABOSLUTELY necessary for the POTUS, as CinC, to use his Article II powers during wartime in order to get the foreign intelligence we need to DEFEND OURSELVES.

By exposing the NSA intercept program, the leakers and their comrades at the NYTIMES have CONFIRMED valuable information to the enemy, alerted the enemy to the information, and NOW - AS A RESULT - the enemy has adjusted. Therefore, the leakers and the NYTIMES have endangered the lives OF MILLIONS of Americans, and our entire economy and also the world's economy (which after all depends on the US economy). They should ALL be charged, tried, convicted, and executed for TREASON.)
Today's news, (Two More Muslims Arrested With 200 Cell Phones), is more proof that the NYTIMES hurt our national security BIGTIME when they disclosed the NSA Surveillance Progam. I believe more than ever that Pinch and Keller should be charged, tried, convicted and executed for treason.

Thanks for the HOT AIR Link!

UN CEASEFIRE: USEFUL STRATEGY OR HALF-ASSERY

We didn't ask for a cease-fire during the Battle of the Bulge, or at Gettysberg or at Iwo Jima. We didn't offer one to the Nazis, or to the confederate rebels. We fought both until they surrendered.

We backed down in 1991 and let Saddam stay in power. We backed down in 1952 and let Kim Il Sung stay in power. We backed down in 1962 and let Fidel stay in power. The problems caused by these tyranny's terror and repression trouble us to this day.

The Democrat doves in Congress pulled the plug on our allies in South Vietnam in 1975 (two years after the last USA ground troop had left), allowing the North Vietnamese to overrun the south, leading to four decades of totalitarian rule and poverty for 65 million Vietnamese - and 500,000 in camps and 1.5 million refugees, the Boat People, who fled ita Marxist/Castro-style tyranny.

You'd think that we'd've learned our lesson: appeasement amd half-assery doesn't work; appeasement amd half-assery delays the inevitable and makes it worse - because it allows the enemy to strengthen.

Bush and Olmert appear to be appeasing the enemy - and just as the enemy is on the verge of defeat. But maybe not. And maybe we need to be in a "reset" mode between now and 8/22?

In principle, I'm for victory. And, I'd prefer it if we vanquished the enemy in one nell swoop (defanged Hizaballah, deposed Assad and preemptively neutralized Iran's nuke program, and deposed Kim Jong Il, and deposed Castro, and Chavez - ASAP). But maybe we need to do this in stages. Maybe a ceasepfire allows an important stage to occur. Maybe this cease-fire puts the "international community" on Israel's side, and maybe that will make it less costly for Israel to attain peace with Lebanon? We shall see - very soon; we shall see...
